My name is Ryan McClendon, and it is an honor to serve the Attalla community as the principal of my Alma Mater. From growing up in Attalla and being a 2004 graduate of Etowah High School, I take great pride in being a leader for this excellent school and community. I am in my eleventh year of education and have spent each in Attalla City Schools. Before coming to Etowah High School, I taught and coached at Etowah Middle School. I came to Etowah High School in 2015 and served as a teacher and coach for seven years. I taught History and coached basketball, baseball, and football over those years. Before coming to Attalla City Schools, I coached college basketball. Most recently, I served as the Assistant Principal at Etowah High School for two years before becoming the principal this summer. I have an amazing wife named Brittany, and we have two children (Cooper, 3, and Maelee Kate, 1) whom we love immensely.
